Found this service with a simple Google search, but cross-referenced them with a couple other Americans that needed help with their documents for use here in Spain. Absolutely top notch. Quick to reply and adapt as needed. We got birth certificates from two states and a couple of FBI background checks processed, apostilled, and translated by a Spanish-sworn translator in record time, despite complications on my end. Can't recommend enough. Let Dustin and his team help you like they helped my family.

I found Dustin’s business (US apostille specialists) via an ad in Google. He helped me with quickly and efficiently procuring my FBI background check, apostille as well as the apostille of my birth certificate for the process of acquiring my Spanish passport. The process went seamlessly and smoothly and took a great load off my mind. I can definitely recommend him!

I found Dustin when I was still living in the States and planning my move to Europe. He was a huge help to me, telling me from his experience what documents I would need. It was a bit complicated, since my documents were coming from four different states. Everything was gathered and sent to me before my move which was planned in two months. After living in Europe for a year and a half, I needed another document rather quickly. The US Embassy was no help, so in desperation I reached out to Dustin again, and low and behold he was able to get it to me in less than a weeks time. Ten out of ten I would recommend him to anyone needing these kinds of services!

Apostille Services by Dustin at US Apostille Services went above and beyond for me. He efficiently apostilled six documents and translated two into Spanish, saving us valuable time and sparing us the burden of dealing with the complexities of U.S. government bureaucracy. What truly stood out was how he made me feel valued as a veteran—his respect, professionalism, and genuine care turned what could have been a stressful process into a smooth and reassuring experience. Dustin’s customer service is exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone in need of apostille or translation work. I had done a Google search but he came highly recommended and I am glad I chose to go with him. I will use him again if needed and will continue to recommend his services.

Spain Legalization Framework

An Apostille is a specialized certification issued by an official authority (such as a US Secretary of State or the federal government) that is permanently attached to your original US public document. It verifies the signature's authenticity so that Spanish authorities, consulates, and legal frameworks recognize it as immediately legitimate under the international guidelines of the Hague Apostille Convention.
In 1961, many countries joined together to create a simplified method of authenticating documents for universal recognition. Members of this conference, referred to as the Hague Convention, adopted a document referred to as an Apostille that would be recognized by all member countries (including Spain).

There are two categories of destination countries: those that are part of the Hague Convention and those that are not. Apostilles can exclusively be obtained for countries within the Hague Convention. If your intended destination falls outside the scope of the Convention, it is categorized as a non-Hague Country. In such cases, authentication is required through the U.S. Department of State/Department of Justice in Washington D.C. and/or full embassy legalization for that specific country.
We process a comprehensive spectrum of both personal certificates and legal corporate entities verified for cross-border compliance with Spain. Below is the full structural matrix of accepted documentation:
Personal Documents
  • FBI Background Records
  • Birth, Marriage & Death Certificates
  • State Police Criminal History
  • Diplomas & Academic Transcripts
  • Affidavits of Single Status
  • Power of Attorney (Personal)
  • Driver’s Licenses & Passport Copies
  • Divorce Certificates & Decrees
Corporate Documents
  • Articles of Association / Organization
  • Certificates of Incorporation / Formation
  • Bylaws & Operating Agreements
  • Corporate Power of Attorney
  • Certificates of Good Standing

  • Board Resolutions & Meeting Minutes

Yes. Spanish immigration rules specify that all foreign public records must be accompanied by a certified, sworn translation (Traducción Jurada) completed by a translator explicitly registered with Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC). Crucially, the translation can only be executed *after* the US Apostille is issued, as the wording of the apostille itself must be translated into Spanish.
Federal documents, such as an FBI background record or a federal tax document, are issued by the US government and can exclusively be apostilled by the U.S. Department of State's Office of Authentications in Washington, D.C. Local state authorities (like individual Secretaries of State) only have the jurisdiction to authenticate items generated within their specific state lines, such as local birth certificates or notarized power of attorney forms.
